Description
A fair number of atomic sensors require a homogeneous B-field for long-lasting Larmor oscillation of atoms. On the other hand, various electronics used in the experients emit magnetic fields, destroying the homogeneity of the deliberately homogeneous B-field. We demonstrate a DBR laser-TEC packaging and a heater which self-cancel their emitted B-field by antiparallel current configurations. These devices can be realized inexpensively without employing MEMS technology. The effect of the self-cancellation is demonstated by a direct measurement and also a LIA signal noise comparison for the heater employed in an atomic magnetometer system.
